Born to be driven
There are two types of drivers: those that view their vehicle as a convenient means of getting from point A to point B - and those that feel a real connection with their car and truly enjoy the art of driving. It is for this latter group that Subaru has created the new 2010 Impreza lineup of Sedans and Sport Wagons. Designed and engineered by people who love cars and driving as much as you do, the Impreza boasts new technology and a new sense of sophisticated style for 2010. On the technology side, the spirited SUBARU BOXER engine at the heart of Impreza 2.5i and Outback Sport models gets more power and better responsiveness, while WRX models get a completely new engine of their own: a turbocharged and intercooled 2.5-litre SUBARU BOXER engine with Subaru's Active Valve Control System and a pavement-scorching 230 hp and 235 lb-ft of torque. The fun doesn't stop there, as WRX models also receive new 17" aluminum alloy wheels and larger ventilated disc brakes with four-piston calipers up front and two-piston calipers in the rear. Safety is also improved, as all Impreza models now feature smart front airbags, front side-impact airbags and a anti-theft security system, while WRX models also feature an engine immbolizer. On the style side, the Impreza features a completely redesigned front fascia - with stylish new headlights and an aerospace-inspired grille - as well as a new hood and eye-catching new taillights. The new look is both more aggressive and more sophisticated - a perfect complement to the Impreza's symmetrical full-time All-Wheel Drive system and FIA World Rally Championship (WRC) heritage.
